What to expect in your first session

Nervous about starting therapy? Here's how a first session usually goes.

Samuel Okafor

It's completely normal to feel nervous before your first therapy session. Many people don't know what to say, and that's fine.

Your therapist will ask what brings you in, a little about your background and what you'd like to change. You only share what you're comfortable sharing.

We'll also talk about practical things: how often to meet, fees and what to do if you need to cancel.

By the end, you should have a sense of whether we're a good fit. If not, we'll help you find someone who is.

Taking the first step is often the hardest part.

Book a free 15-minute call. We’ll listen, answer your questions and help you decide if we’re the right fit.

No commitment, no forms to fill in first.
